Mr. Connor's professional experience is grounded in 12 years of successful sales and senior management experience with Hewlett-Packard's Analytical Systems Group where he was responsible for all aspects of their global lab automation systems business. Since HP, Mr. Connor served as the Chairman and CEO of numerous investor-backed software, life-science technology and information technology companies such as EMAX Solution Partners where he led its capitalization and turn-around from a challenged venture capital backed start-up into a successful enterprise software and e-commerce solution provider to the life-science research marketplace and its subsequent acquisition by a public company; ArtusLabs, where Mr. Connor was instrumental to its acquisition by PerkinElmer; and Synthematix, where as founding outside Director Mr. Connor led its acquisition by a public company.
Prior to his tenure with Genome Profiling, Mr. Connor served as Founding Chairman and Managing Director of The Longwood Group, a boutique executive advisory consultancy on matters of strategy and operational execution alignment and optimization serving the Boards, CEOs and Executive teams of small-to-mid-size software, information technology, and life science measurement and computation companies. Concurrent with the Longwood Group, he served on an Advisory Board to the University of Delaware to promote entrepreneurism throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region; is a Senior Advisor to Focus Investment Bank, a rapidly growing national M&A advisory firm to emerging growth and middle-market businesses; and is an outside director to Evozym Biologics, a computational biology software and services company that combines proprietary algorithms with multi-core processing to expedite the creation of novel enzymes and proteins. Previously, in addition to his tenures at HP and EMAX, Mr. Connor was CEO of Panacya, a web and mobile application infrastructure management software company that was the precursor to BoxTone which was acquired by Good; and was Co-Founder and EVP Sales and Marketing for Automated Compliance Systems , a laboratory information management systems (LIMS) software company acquired by Beckman.
Mr. Connor is a graduate of the College of Wooster, Wooster, Ohio with a BA in Biology and earned his MBA at Rutgers University.
